How Can I Help?
A little about me…
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have enjoyed a 30+ year career working as a social worker in the areas of Mental Health, MHMR (IDD), Geriatrics, Long-Term Care and hospice/palliative care, with a unique focus on veterans.
In my private practice, I specialize in supporting clients through chronic and terminal illness, trauma events, and complicated grief, with a specialty in working with the veteran and LGBT elder communities
I am also an Associate Professor of Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University and value the opportunity help educate future colleagues in the field of social work. As a board certified Clinical Supervisor, I enjoy blending my clinical and academic experience to support my LMSW colleagues in attaining their clinical licensure.
I received my Doctor of Social Work from Capella University (2019), Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas (1996), and Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University (1989). I also served in the US Army Reserve from 1988 – 1996 as a Medical Laboratory Specialist.
